Arma 3 issues

Kermit

Is it normal to have 15 fps on Multiplayer low settings, and around 20 on ultra? I really want the absolute max fps i can get, and 20 really doesnt cut it....

I just got a new CPU from my pentium (see my signiture) and have a 280x... Is this normal?

I have arma on my HDD

CPU: Intel i5-2400 Mobo: ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz GPU: Sapphire R9 280x Tri-X Case Corsair Obsidian Series 350D PSU: EVGA 500w 80+ Certified

sounds like its not an issue with your pc its more likly an issue with the server, just remember your going to have more benefit by overclocking and having your ram at least at 2000mhz  with arma.

its odd though having lower fps on lower settings. as for wanting high fps the normal is around 45 on multiplayer when there's afew on the server

Its all about those volumetric clouds

fps on arms is hit and miss. i have an i5 2500k and a 980ti, at 1440p all ultra i get 50fps+ and at 4k all high settings i get 40-50fps.

its a very cpu intensive and gpu intensive game. this biggest killer is draw distance and game detail at distance. lower these and you should get a better experience. also turn shadows off. no AA and set the clouds and sky to low/off. these are the things that will hammer your gpu and cpu.
