Also, considering a 980ti is 600 quid in the UK, £1600 isn't an excessive amount of money.

No gaming with a large amount of storage like 6TB

do some research on using a xeon cpu with ecc ram. good for workstation use. also, you may want to invest in an ips panel if you're doing photo and video work so that the colors are on point
