So I just got the s340 case. I'm trying to install two front fans from my previous case. The problem is that I can't use the screws that came with the fan and I can't use the screws from the case because my fans don't seem to be self threading. It's a harder plastic compared so the soft ones for self threading. I have 120mm Enermax fans. Does this mean I have to get new fans now?

just need a stronger grip.  or a drill.

anything is self threading if you twist hard enough

Get a better or larger screw driver with the same bit seems like your not torquing it enough it will self thread but go forwards and back slightly when threading and it will help.

So its normal to hear a slight crackling when trying to self thread? My corsair fan I self threaded didn't do that.

Probably not cracking but I'd back out a bit and try to wear a grove in it the plastic with the screws since they are somewhat sharp so they should cut in a bit at a time.
