GPU Overheating problems.

Go to solution Solved by (G{in}[AK)TION],

no it will not break the warranty. ive removed the cooler on my GPU a few times and they  still replaced my cards. even when i told them that i changed the thermal paste.

So guys my twin frozr 2 gtx 560 ti overclocked @ 900mhz (I haven't increased the voltage) runs at 99^C and throtles back -450 mhz under load (ex BF3). I also tried downclocking @800mhz but still there are problems. I haven't taken the cooler off ever so thermal paste isn't an issue. It also has warranty for like 2-3 months shall I return it or is there something I can do without losing warranty?

Yes, is it dusty. Also the thermal paste can be an issue. Some manufactures use cheap thermal paste that doesn't last very long.

The thermal paste might have dried up and gone crusty so be carefull when taking the cooler off to re apply thermal paste , you dont want to pull the gpu off lmao
