wait what???? they are the same... exept the OC version is clocked higher, what is the price diffrence?

Hi! I'm building a gaming computer and I received suggestions from some friends about these graphics cards! I do not know what I should take!

 

Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB   or   Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB

Do you want an Asus 290X or Asus 290X, tough decision...

I wouldnt recommend the DC2 290X to begin with, the cooler is not fit to be cooling the 290X's hot Hawaii core to begin with.

Yeah I would go with the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB, the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB is much crappier than the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB and youll get much better gaming potential with the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB

I disagree, where the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB has a few flaws, the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB is by far the much better GPU!

You are correct that the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB has a few flaws but the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB has more CUDA cores than the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB and also has faster HBM memory so the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB is in my mind better than the Asus Radeon R9 290X DirectCU II OC HDMI DP 2xDVI 4GB.

Direct CUII is worse than the stock cooler 290s it is only more silent...

 

Go for ANY OTHER MODEL! :D
