So I recently asked about some high quality IEMs and I think I'm going for 1964 Ear V3s or V2s. . Thing is, I've never in my life gotten impressions. I don't even really frequent an audiologist. I know that it has a fee, and I'm willing to pay it but I want to make sure I do it correctly so I get the perfect fit when I buy my IEMs. Any tips?

I'm going to punch your face- IN THE FACE.

Any of the audiologists on this list can do the job.  Ultimate Ears themselves use a 3d scanner to generate impressions...no more silicone.  Had it done last week.

Some people prefer using vertical bite block, some prefer horizontal. Some even dont want to use biteblock.

Check 1964 recommended audiologist, that's my recommendation

Hmmm I'll check but I live in the No have area of California. We have Sonus here but I'm not sure if they are fit for the job. I will have to visit them sometime and ask.

anyone that does hearing aids should be fine. 1964 ears has a printable page of things they require for ear impressions that you're supposed to give to the audiologist. Make sure that you get a "musicians fit" because that's what 1964 ears wants or they won't take mold (or so I've been told by one of their reps. Not sure if it's true)

Thanks! I actually saw Sonus as one of their recommended audilogist locations so I am more confident now. I'm going to be going for an MSI themed pair of V3 IEMs with a black body and clear red faceplate with two black MSI dragons on the plates. They not only are going to sound sweet, but look sweet as well.

Awesome! I would make sure that MSI is okay with your use of their logo first though! Also, I'm probably going to be getting the V3 soon as well! (Mine will be solid white shells with opaque white faceplates, and silver and gold 1964 ears logos on the left and right, respectively)

As long as he's not using the logo for commercial purposes, MSI can't do anything about it.

Well, in that case, I may very well have some custom art put on to mine once I order them. Thanks for the info!!! (I was worried, because things like the deadmau5 ferrari are a thing...)
