Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get some advice on finishing my build. The last components I am currently looking for are a PSU and CPU cooler. (Hope I am posting this in the right place >.<)

For the PSU I was wondering if you guys can give me some advice, I am looking for a fully modular PSU to give my PC a clean look as well as wondering how much power I am going to need. Currently looking at Corsair AX 760/860 (Maybe the "i" version as well) & evga NEX750g.

Secondly for the CPU cooler and would also like some advice on this (Didn't want to make a second thread). Currently looking at the Nzxt Kraken X60.

If you have any suggestions for the two that aren't listed feel free to share your thoughts/experiences. Perhaps getting some idea if the above options are worth the time, I have read some reviews that go back and forth on being bad picks/good picks.

Specs:

CPU: 4770k

Ram: Vengeance pro 1866MHz (4x4gb)

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Formula (When released)

Case: Phantom 630 (Around 6 fans in the case)

Graphics: GTX 560ti (Will eventually upgrade to a 770/780).

SSD: Samsung 840 pro or 840 evo

HDD: WD 1TB.

PSU: In question

Cpu Cooler: In question

This is my first official build as I have taken apart my current PC a couple of times so bare with me. Let me know what you guys think as always better to get a second look at the system.

Appreciate any help!

The AX760 is a bit overkill for even a 780 sli.

Are you planning on 770 sli? 780 sli?

As of right now I don't have enough for sli, but maybe down the road. Still have to find the resources to upgrade from the 560ti.

So is 780 sli a possibility or is 770 sli as high as you would go?

well not sure for PSU but CPU cooler either the swiftech H220 if your outside America or like you said the X60 if you can't get your hands on the previously mentioned.

Hard to say in all honesty, I doubt I would be able to buy sli for a while.

H220 has the option for expansion, which I doubt I'll end up doing. For the price difference I'll pick up the X60 and switch out the fans. Thanks for the input.

When then a decent 750w bronze would do for a 770 sli and a 750w gold/plat or 850w bronze would do for a 780 sli.

For a single 780, a 600w will do.

Would you know of any fully modular psu at that level, with good reviews.

Would I be able to use cables from a different company, for example the corsair kit or nzxt sleeved cables on these?

NZXT cables are extensions, so any power supply will work regardless of whether it is modular or not. The Corsair sleeved cables are design specifically for their PSU, where it will replaced the original cables (they are not extensions). If you want to used Corsair cables, you need to buy a PSU that the cable kit is compatible with.

Also, regardless of efficiency, if you are going to SLI a 780, a quality 750w would be enough for your system.

What country/state are you from?

Think I might go with 760 or 760ti (if released) in sli as it is what I could afford.

Get a 7950 instead. It should be around the same price as the 760 and performs better.

Fortron Source Power (FSP). It based on the group-regulated Aurum design. I would skip it to be honest.

While a 850w is indeed overkill for your system, there's a good deal on the Cooler Master V850 if you get it with a particular motherboard at Newegg. http://promotions.newegg.com/combo/13-3150/index.html

I was looking at the V700 since it's like 85 bucks with rebate, plus people say it's seasonic. Just would like to verify if 700w will be future proof if I end up going sli 760, 770 or 780. (or 7950).

I would get a Corsair TX750 V2/ XFX Core 750W.

Heres a list of who is the manufacturer of the psu:http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/psu_manufacturers

Don't go with an evga psu when there are better options.

Look at Antec, Be Quiet, Corsair, NZXT, OCZ, Seasonic, Silverstone, and XFX instead.

Think I narrowed it down to CM V700/850 or XFX 850.

Correct me if I am wrong, the V series is based on KM3 Seasonic X, which is the same as the AX series from Corsair (Plat?). Is the XFX also using the same KM3?

Was thinking of AX760 as well, but only because of the cable color replacement (Ends up being 260+ which is way too much).
