Yes, did it yesterday.

Damn. Sounds like a dead board. Did you perhaps try a PCI video card if possible? They're often bulletproof and the PCI bus is almost indestructible.

I keep a couple old G200s around for emergencies.

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

I don't have any. Only an old pci-e en7300se. I think it cannot work on pci.

Definitely won't, very different kind of slot.

Its probably going to end up being something super simple that is being overlooked, but its also likely that the board has had enough.

I can't think anything else to try. The only thing I changed was the battery, nothing else. So I assume that the board is dead. Thank you for your help anyway.

Anytime.

If I think of something I'll let you know. Might run a couple tests on the plethora of socket A relics in my collection tonight.

For science!

I don't know. It's a client's pc at the shop I'm working.

tell them to get an old anrdoid phone and run a windows emulator... it would probably be faster...

:D:D:D

I told him what happend and he told me to leave it aside but I took it personally that's why I tried again today.

I mean if its not a special purpose machine, like 50 bucks would get him a MUCH faster machine like a core2 duo or something :P
