The Radioshack in town closed down, so that is where I usually get my Compressed Air Dusters. So I'm looking to pick up one of those electronic alternatives but not sure on what brand to buy. Most of the ones I saw ranged from $50-100 but the lower priced ones look like multi-purpose tools so not necessarily designed solely for cleaning computers or keyboards etc. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Was wondering if anyone knows of any good ones, uses one personally, can point me to reviews of them etc.

Trying not to spend a whole lot on them, but the one that I was looking at was the The O2 Hurricane and that's a $100. Not sure if there are better alternatives to this one before I bite the bullet and buy it when there might be one that is better or reviewed that is cheaper.

I use this its not compressed air but it works for cleaning and a lot of other stuff

XPOWER Airrow Pro Multi-Use Duster / Dryer / Air Pump

That's the other one I was looking at, is it okay to use inside a computer case? Is it strong enough to clean well? I noticed it is labeled as an Air Pump too.

yea its strong enough that little blower has power for its size, so its an industrial air pump/blower sold as a consumer product the only thing is when you try to clean your gpu put tape on your fans for it so they dont spin up and get damaged other than that you can blow air inside your case in a few seconds and take out all the dust, I do it every 3 months now, use to do it every month but now I have a few more fan filters in my case so less dust.

Okay, so is it too powerful to clean standard 120mm fans or just GPU fans? Because I like to blow out my fans too, you are saying this is powerful enough to damage them?

None are safe to use on fans without holding them.

Hmmm, then how much more powerful are these compared to traditional Compressed Air Dusters?

let me see if i can make a video and upload it but i do this just to protect my gpu fans but the regular fans that are 120mm and 140... etc are fine to blow into

A traditional can of air is still stronger and has a much more focused spray being extremely beneficial for tight areas.

An electric duster easily wins in the convenience department, though.

Well I always use canned air on my fans, have been since 2004 and haven't come close to damaging a single fan yet. So I'm wondering why people are saying these electronic ones can damage fans.

They must not be holding their fans when blowing directly into them. It's user error. The Datavac in particular is still very strong.

this isnt a normal air duster its a commercial air pump/blower sold to consumers and also has nozzles and attachments to it

I'm not referring to the one you linked.

I'm also saying if you hold the fan(s); they will not be damaged. Who blows high powered air directly into a free turning fan?

Exactly my point as stated earlier; it's user error.

This is why the DataVac is infinitely more convenient than canned air.

I think that has to do with electricity sent back or something..

But I could be 200% wrong
