New 3ds XL

I have a New 3ds XL that is metallic blue and my friend has a New 3ds XL that is metallic black. Both of us have a concern about the hinge on the new 3ds and though that we would ask about it here. On the left side of the hinge where the screen hinge connects to the device, there is some wiggle room for the hinge. What I mean by that is if you grab the top screen and pull up, the hinge moves up with the screen a mm maximum. (no im not talking about the screen moving left and right because that has already been adressed as normal.) 

 

Though this small issue does not bother either of us we just want to make sure that this "issue" does not negatively effect the devices longevity.

It's normal, my regular 3DS has it too.
