GoPro Session Unveiled!

erainf

The New GoPro looks pretty cool!

Strapped to my hand was GoPro’s new camera: $399 Hero 4 Session, available next week. It’s cube-shaped and measures less than 1.5 inches long on every side. It shoots 1440p video at 30 frames per second, 1080p up to 60 frames per second, and 720p up to 100 frames per second. It’s waterproof up to 10 meters  -Sean O'Kane

So it will be super tiny and able to do QHD at 30 fps, cool!

It's also waterproof out of the box, so no extra case needed!

The Session is extremely simple to use: you start and stop it with just one press of a button. In fact, the Session only has two buttons. The main one is a red, circular button found on the top side of the camera. Tap it, and the Session turns on and starts recording. Tap it again to stop recording, and the Session turns off. -Sean O'Kane

GoPro finally going towards a more user friendly button layout awesome!

Personally not a fan. It's nice seeing the go pro become smaller though, as it has remained the same, IMO, borderline bulky form factor since the first go pro, right?

Something like the session with some type of video preview (i.e. Preview on an added touch screen) would be a major improvement I think. Of course an addition like that would probably require more powerful hardware (processor, battery, etc) so I might be asking much for a 1.5" cube camera.

That price tag, too. :/

man if only gopro would sell a value-oriented model that did nothing but take standard 720p (maybe 1080p?) 30fps video, they would sell like hotcakes :(
