Graphic card decision

Hello guys, so i was about 99% sure to buy AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB over the GTX 960, but then i saw a benchmark in whitch i saw R9 280x, so i was confused for a moment. Did so research and i think that R9 280x is better than R9 380 4GB, BUT AM I RIGHT? I'm an amateur in these things, so can anyone give reasons of why  R9 280x is better or why it isn't?

You can get a used 280x for like $150 on ebay most of the time. I got one like this and its fantastic.

A 380 is a rebranded 280. Drivers and some more memory make it the 380. Just go with the 380.

You can usually get r9 290s and r9 280x around and at this price, so have a look at them first.

I've only got a 280 3GB but its awesome it plays what I want at 60FPS (v-sync)

i was in the same dilemma,   go for the 380

A 380 is a rebranded 280. Drivers and some more memory make it the 380. Just go with the 380.

False. The 380 is actually the 285, which is not the same chip as the 280 or 280X. it just has more memory.

The 380 is a rebranded R9 285 from last generation, so yes of the two of them the 280X is the better card.
