I use a combo of newegg and amazon. Newegg will have cheaper prices, but I have to pay for shipping.

Being a prime member, I get free 2d shipping on amazon. So sometimes paying for shipping is actually cheaper, and sometimes it isn't.

I've had good customer support experiences with both sites, as long as you're buying from amazon and not a reseller using amazon. In that instance, I just use newegg.

I only buy from about 4 different places

what you do is use pcpartspicker to get an idea of the price

then use other price comparison sites to get the lowest prices

sometimes the difference in price from PP to doing it manually is like 100-150$

It mostly depends on how far away their warehouse is from your location. (And how much you are willing to pay :P)
