What's wrong with the GPU?

the design is just crap, they could extand the backplate like on other cards, make it closed, nice fan under it; move the power connectors to the back then ass well, would look 10x nicer.  anyway, that's just my only thing about it. Someday you gonna pull that thing out and then it's gone :p

Only thing I'd change is replace the window with one without fan mounts. That's pretty much

the only thing I don't like about the C70. But this would of course require some modding. ;)

Other than that I think this is a pretty nice build. :)

I personally don't mind how it looks. At least it doesn't have a blue pcb :)

I agree on the window. I'd like to mod it to be clean, but I haven't had the motivation to do it.

Ah motivation, the ever elusive essence of life...

Hello!

First of all, this is not really a build log, I just wanted to show off my system. It's a full AMD build, not a powerhouse, but it's good any for gaming at medium graphics at a decent fps. I've had this system for about a month now, and it's pretty awesome. I thought about going Haswell, but I like AMD and want to support them. Here are the parts used and some pictures, and a video.

Corsair Vengeance C70
Asus M5A99FX R2.0
AMD FX-6300
Asus AMD Radeon HD 7850 @1050 MHz
Corsair Vengence Pro 1600 Mhz 8GB
XFX Pro 650W Modular
Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
Seagate 350GB HDD
Samsung 1TB HDD
Silverstone AP121-WL
Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 RPM
Scythe Kaze Q12
Bitfenix Alchemy 30cm and 60cm led strips

A couple of night shots:

Here is also a video I made (sorry for my bad english):

better english than me and I was born and raised

the build is really clean and looks awesome, the only thing that spoils it for me is the grated window.

Could I have some benchmarks of real world performance because you have the exact build that I'm going to do. Same CPU & GPU atleast.

Here you go. The gaming benchmarks are 120 second Fraps benchmarks.

Cinebench 11.5 OpenGL 63.09 fps
Cinebench 11.5 CPU 4.49 pts.

3DMark 11 P5567

Borderlands 2 Maxed Out
Min - 35 fps
Avg - 70 fps
Max - 105 fps

Far Cry 3 Ultra
Min - 28 fps
Avg - 30 fps
Max - 32 fps

GTA IV Maxed Out Sliders 50%
Min - 27 fps
Avg - 36 fps
Max - 55 fps

Also the CPU is running around 35 degrees Celsius according to Core Temp, and the GPU is around 65 according to GPU Tweak.

YES! Thank you! Its running games exactly where I want it to be running!

Are you overclocked at all?

Epic! That's what I plan to do with my 6300 and 7850. Gunna be stuck on 1280x1024 for a little while which kinda sucks but whatever, at least I can use it to show how much it beats my current pc.

Actually I just noticed, I wasn't running my GPU overclocked for some reason, so when you do overclock you'll get around 10-20 fps increase!

Nice rig there, and your English is perfect.

about the C70 side panal i think you can buy them as a solid clear panel with no fan holes which would look real nice.

Would be nice to see a system like that with a custom liquid cooled system with UV green coolant.

Same m/board and CPU i am using, yes it makes a good mid range system :)

got to love Asus components

I would like a solid side window, but I haven't seen them anywhere. I could also just make one myself.

And yes, they do indeed make a nice mid range system :)

There is a person that makes them, i think you can see what they have done and shouldn't be to hard to do yourself if you want the challange of modding it, just use the old one as a template and a small piller drill will make it higher quality finish.

I might actually do that. Now I pretty much only need to order the acrylic :)  We'll see, if I start making it, i'll probably start a new thread.
