Android phone usb problem

Hi, I am trying to connect my phone to a decoder that has a usb on it, it detects usb sticks, but does not detect my phone as a storage device. Is there any app or whatever that will allow my phone to be detected as a usb drive? Btw my phone is android and its rooted.

Connect your phone to it, go to the notifications bar and press that notification about .. Something like USB connectivity. It bring you to some settings and you press media device or something.

That might work. Otherwise I wouldn't know.

Does your decoder support reading files off a portable device?

 

My TV doesn't do that.

Don't think so

 

My TV doesn't do that.

 

Then try using a USB thumbdrive if you haven't done so already.
