Safe way to keep fleas out of a room?

So my mom/stepdad intend on moving into their own house shortly, but I am afraid of the fleas said house probably has for a few reasons.

1. I do NOT want to give my cat fleas.

2. I do NOT want fleas on me.

3. I do NOT want fleas to get inside of my computer.

4. I FUCKING HATE FLEAS

 

So, is there anyway for me to keep these motherfuckers out of my room without my mom or stepdad knowing or...
