 Depends. I get about 400k PPD if I fold uninterrupedly. Some people get way more, close to 1 million. Other people get as little as 10k a week.

 

7K is not bad. What do points do? Not much really. It's mainly a way of measuring how much work your PC has done. If you create a folding ID you can join the LinusTechTips folding team, and your points will be counted into the total of said team. At the time of writing this, out of all the teams worldwide, we are ranked 18th, with a total of 6 billion points. Stats here:

I have a GPU.  That's where I saw it.  On the CPU tab, it says 739 PPD.  My GPU is entry level, but my CPU is mid-range-ish.  Why would my crappy GPU outperform my CPU?!  I realized my GPU has 5 million steps  and my CPU has 250 thousand steps.  No wonder my GPU is bringing in more points on this assignment!
