Remember when CPU benchmarks were a thing ?

Each time a game came out , there would be GPU and CPU benchmarks for it . Tek syndicate used to do those , and try and justify AMD cpus by saying ( oh more cores can be better if you want to stream ) inb4 all streamers just making a killing and buying 5960x .  Now its only GPUs , because either :

 

a ) the CPUs barely make any difference 

b ) most of AMD's top chips get rekt by low end i5s 

 

No i'm not an intel fanboy , i want AMD to push Intel so they stop shipping us COD like yearly releases . Woo , the size shrunk to 10nm ....

It'd be nicer if games could actually use the extra threads, I considered getting a 8350 but it was just going to be out performed too easily by an i5 just because the games wouldn't be using the cores.

If you want CPU benchmarks, they're not hard to find.

I know , but are they relevant to anything . Last time you seen a CPU benchmark for a new game on LTT ? Only with CPU releases and random tests ( like with the amounts of ram ) .
