Will this fan work?

hey guys my current cpu cooler fan is pretty loud, i got this one laying around....

i was wondering if i could use it cause it's not loud, but my questions is will it perform well???!?

i think it will be fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Before you run out and get a new fan, you might want to try adjusting the fan speed in the BIOS. 

 

A simple drop in speed will reduce noise (at the cost of thermals)

The fan is quieter than your current one but it pushes less air, you might get a slight decrease is cooling ability.
