It will run each game differently, use http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri if you want to look for a specific game, besides that it seems like it *should* run a decent amount at low/medium settings.

If you don't own that there are better options

if you want a gaming notebook, i massively recommend the Asus G46VW, great graphics, decent processor, not a bad screen and lots of RAM all for 800$

HP laptop, please avoid it.

After my experience with their laptops, they're just not worth it at all. The fans get very loud and they overheat very easily. This is a very common problem.

You can't even open it up to clean up the dust without voiding the warranty. My HDD actually fried because of the horrible heat it outputs. Just don't do it.

I don't know if they've improved or not, but I'm not going to buy another product of theirs ever.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-8750M.87147.0.html

^boom. Benchmarks for most every game with the GPU that's in that laptop (different CPU, so take it with a grain of salt)..

If you can, try to get the Lenovo Y410p like Pingypoker suggested.. The GT 750M is quite a bit faster than the Radeon 8750M.

Edit: the overview page for the HP laptop that you listed says that it has "NVIDIA discrete graphics and 2GB of video memory", but the specs page says "Radeon 8750M"..

Edit 2: Found it.. It has optional Nvidia graphics..

So you might ask: "what Nvidia GPU does it offer optionally?"

Well, I could only find models with a maximum of the GT 740M.. Even though the 740M is still faster than a 8750M, it's still noticeably slower than a 750M..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

The y410p has a 5 hour battery life, but you could probably squeeze an hour more out of it if you are doing really light tasks.

This is better. It's not that heavy either considering it has a gtx 660m. It's a 14" laptop so it's quite portable.

it really isn't all that heavy, it's loosely the same as a standard 15.6" laptop, and it really packs a punch!
