Can't get adaptive voltage to work

Go to solution Solved by sof006,

Restore the defaults.

Also overclocking tends to pin the voltage to whatever you've set it to, I know this from experience.

Hi guys,

I've been trying to get my Asus z97-e to overclock my i5-4690k using adaptive voltage mode in the bios. I have gotten a stable overclock at 4.5 ghz and 1.25v core voltage in manual mode, and am trying to get it to work in adaptive mode. When I select adaptive however, the "additional turbo mode CPU core voltage" option is stuck on "Auto" and won't give me an option to change it. This makes it so the core voltage is too low and my system crashes on startup. Also I'm definitely running the most recent version of the bios, am I missing some setting that isn't letting me change the turbo mode? Thanks!
