So I just RMA'd my Corsair Vengance 1500 headset.

Because I had to send it back to corsair the post office charged me €16 for it, but the company is obligated by law to pay for the shipping, can I get this money back from corsair or how would this work?

possibly. but for me the first one I paid for and each and every subsequent headset I sent back to corsair was on their dime. 

And how did you do this? make them pay you back or did they make a courier get your headset?

 

and did you have to ask for it or did they suggest it?

Lucky... I payed $82 to rma my H80... it was more to rma it then to buy it (when it was on sale).

 

The only reason I RMA'd it is because the sale ended and the price went back up. But I'm so lucky! I have to RMA it again! :(

Usually when you put in a ticket for the RMA, they give you some kind of shipping sticker to attach. Otherwise, just get in touch with their customer service. It shouldn't be too hard to get reimbursed.

The RMA covers shipping back to you. But you have to pay to ship it to them. Not sure how to get them to reimburse you if its a legal requirement in your area. I had to RMA my H100i as the firmware bricked the controller but I ended up taking it the store I bought it from then they payed for shipping instead of me.

Corsair gave me a paper that I had to print and attach to the packaging but the people at the post office told me that that wouldn't cover shipping cost.

In that case, chat with Corsair customer service.

there is one thing that you attach to the box that has stuff pertaining to logistics and stuff for when they receive the package and not anything to do with the shipping costs

I had to RMA Corsair SP2500 from UK to Netherlands. Put it in UPS Calculator came to £220. More expensive than the actual speakers. So I spoke to the RMA agent on that 'live' chat thing and he said they pay 99% of RMA charges. Later that day I got an email from UPS asking when it would be bested for them to pick the speakers up.

yes, it had a barcode with the ticket number of my support. It also had a little box that said "place postage Here".

Ok, so I did have to pay for it myself. I just added a comment to my ticket asking them if I could get my money back.

 

I'll keep this thread updated as I get more info.

ya thats their logistics one for their internal stuff to keep track of it. and not a postage one.   the actual postage sticker has a big ass weird QR code and distinctly says that corsair will foot the bill.

Did you read the warranty and/or Terms of Service? In the warranty they may state that they are not reliable for RMA shipping.

Well if they explain that in their ToS or warranty that they offer will NOT cover shipping, then I believe they are legally not obligated to cover the shipping for you. Razer tried this shit with me and I gave up on them.

well the policy I went with was that the consumer foots the bill for the first rma and the rest is on their bill. 5, almost 6 RMA's deep into it I got my moneys worth.

A ToS/Warranty can't violate a law, hence why its a law and not a suggestion.
