So this morning I was browsing the internet and my computer literally went bang and sparks came out, now the reason I'm putting this under power supply is because the PSU no longer works so what I'm asking is what happened if anyone knows and what PSU you would recommend in the future for when I get one also I'm British so my currency is £ and my computer specs are here:

    Stock Air Cooling (for now)

  • Operating System

Test the rest of your build to make sure it works before buying a new psu (get someone to lend one to you, or go straight to the store if you can carry your pc there). Make sure you don't buy anything that is not at least 80+ bronze rated.

It could've burned other components by means of a short circuit, check if you see any damage, especially on the motherboard.

 

If you've seen sparks flying out, it's bad...

 

(I switched that red button at the back of a PSU once, while the computer was running, that sparked too)

Evga gs 550w would be a good psu replacement
