Cheap Windows on Reddit?

How come you can get Windows for 15-30$ on "microsoftsoftwareswap" ( http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ )? Are they selling hacked / stolen keys or how does it work? Are those keys legit?

Just like keys on G2A, often they are MSDN keys, or keys bought on sale in bulk, or bought from overseas territories for cheap  and sold on 

 

Hard to say if 100% legit, or not

They are bought in bulk directly off microsoft which makes them cheap.

People be looking for a reason to flame.

I wouldn't get involved with that marketplace or other websites that deliver cheap keys - I've had friends who had very poor experiences. If you don't want to pirate a copy of Windows you could always get the Windows 10 Insider Preview for now. It will upgrade into the full version of Windows 10 for free in 1 month.

Probably, or from Dreamspark. I got a few keys for win 8. 8.1 and 7, as an IT student, for free. :)

I have for one win 8 key from there, activated fine and seems okay so far. I got a notification for windows 10 upgrade with all the updates etc, will see how that goes

They're OEM i think making them not upgradeable to W10

 

OEM licences AFAIK still get the upgrade

Nah, most MS products are on there. There are server editions too. I just don't have the need for them, my servers are on linux. Just took one key for my PC and one for my lapotop. It's free so why not! :D

I signed into my account on Dreamspark only finding Windows Server and SQL Server, is it hidden anywhere?
