Does that really matter? He worked hard to achieve what he could and was the best in the world at what he did. Being the best means no one can reach your standard, or no one could.

He was a highly athletic person who had undergone incredibly intensive training for most of his life. If there's anything superhuman about that, it's his dedication. That does not mean others could not theoretically achieve the same. Also, moving faster than a 24 fps camera is certainly impressive, but not unearthly.
