Lag in FSX

I have a AMD 6100 and a GTX 660 2GB. I cannot play FSX without lag or FPS drops, I am running high settings

Can you go any further? It's either that or most likely you're going to have to start turning settings down. Also, did you lock the frame rate or is it set to unlimited and have you installed the service packs OR Acceleration?

3.5GHz is stock speed.........

that's not overclocking. 4ghz+ is what you need.

I got it 3.3GHz from factory, and have it automatically over clocked using MSI OC GENE in the BIOS

Yeah I'd just start turning down settings I guess, your CPU is going to hold your system back massively because of how poorly FSX was threaded.

I think we all knew it was the end when they killed off the Aces studio. Flight had so much potential with how it ran. Who knows, maybe they'll bring one out as a tech demo for DX12 like the did with FSX being a demo for DX10.
