Running Minecraft Server causes PC Ragnarok

Hey guys,

 

Normally, I run a Minecraft Server to play on with me and my little sister - we both use Hamachi to connect to the server. Every now and then when I tried to start the server, it caused calamity - explorer.exe crashing, keyboard becoming unresponsive, etc.

 

Now, I can't even go through the setup process for the Minecraft server because it causes crashes and all sorts of issues meaning that I can't even start it and I have to restart my PC. I am virus-free and whatnot so it can't be that. I am wondering if it is my HDD because aside from being low on storage the thing is close to four years old and has had hundreds of gigabytes of data written, read and deleted on a regular basis.

 

Any ideas?

LAN world?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

ok but why have a server? why not just open a LAN game? if your anyways using hamatchi your on the same network, and your ongly two people so i see no reson not to just have a lan game, also hamatchi can get bad and meke you not have any internet conection, use evolve gaming client instead

Look, that's not my problem - My problem is that I am at the point of not being able to run the Minecraft server in the first place, not which program I am using.

This would make it much easier and reduce lag. Totally agree with your post.

dont run the server and open your world to LAN then so your PC dosent ragnarok
