Old Computer, New Tricks

Hey, my LTT friends!

So I just aquired an old Dell Dimension 3000 from one of my grandparent's neighbors. Now, I LOVE these computers. I want to be able to do something pretty cool with it. Right now, it has a Pentium 4 and 512gb of working RAM (one of the sticks is dead). So I definitely want to find some more ran for it. I also might want to get an old graphics card to plop in there, just for fun, but it's all up in the air right now. What I really want to know is: What OS should I load? Should I load something easy like Lubuntu? Or should I go old school and load Windows 98? I'm not sure. What are your thought on what I should do with this system?

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

Yeah, I have my eye on a crucial 2gb kit on Amazon.

Nice. You've said 512GB instead of 512MB. :P

Vista... don't ask... just do it..

puppy linux or damn small linux to test its capacity for work... go here for quick reference on distros...

Go Win XP if you'd like to play some older games...

Go Win10 if you're feeling adventurous...
