When i try to shutdown my pc it restarts and not a normal restart, it doesn't go through all the boot up process and doesn't clear the RAM, my screen goes black then turns back on but all my programs are closed and then the usual programs that open on startup come back. it doesn't happen all the time maybe once every ten times, but it will continue to do this until i restart my pc on purpose then when its has finished starting up i can shutdown properly.

I got the same issue with the Win 10 insider preview lately. Thougth it's just a bug in the OS.

But if it also happens with Win 8.1 that's bad.

Probably Microsoft will fix it with a patch soon.

Just check that you do have the correct wires leading from your mobo to your case and that you haven't got the 2 confused.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I would try to clear the CMOS. Remove the battery from your MOBO?

EDIT: It solved issue of PC, which wasn't turning off.

If that is what it is then i hope they do create a patch soon but i don't think they know or a problem caused by them as i have had this problem for a while now.

When i first built the PC i quadruple checked that those wires where in the correct position, but thanks anyway.

Well i have cleared it and changed the settings to suit me and i will see if it works (might be a little bit as it doesn't always happen), also i was thinking back at all the possible reasons for it and i THINK nearly every time that it wouldn't let me shutdown correctly was when i had a high ram usage about 12gb of 16gb just wondering if that could factor in at all.

Thanks
