Fury X Question

Okay, so I was thinking about buying a Fury X, but I only have a 500W psu, and PcPartPicker says it will take 513 max watts, do you think this will kill my psu, or will I be fine?

I feel apprehensive when the Est is 50W under the PSU.

Id in no way recommend it if your est is over what you are pushing.

600 will do but 700w would be a safe range. you won't be running your PC at max all the time.

Looking at PC part picker the fury X is more, and even if the 980 is more its still going to be less then the cost of a fury X and new PSU to run it.

Depends on the region. Up here the 980 ti is usually $20-$60 more than a Fury X. That's if any are in stock...

It'd probably be fine (depending on what else is in your system of course) but your bigger problem will probably be getting your hands on a Fury X

Save your money and focus on core system before you go hog wild on GPU power. You FX will bottleneck a 970 nevermind a friggin' 980 ti!

not by a mile, it doesn't matter the bottleneck will be too negligible 

based on the knowledge i compared it to a i5 3560k , it they are the same range, i dont think it will bottleneck that much.

True! I'm just pointing out that regions change the pricing structure quite a lot. I myself am still torn on whether or not to bother getting a Fury or just saying screw it and pop in another 970 and call it a day instead.

i honestly need an entire new system besides ram, a CPU cooler, and a case. my motherboard might work, but has terrible power delivery.

I had an 8120 at 4GHz even playing BF4 with mantle my 290 very rarely went over 70% usage and the CPU was in the mid 90's

that was because BF 4 used multithreaded operations a lot more than the other games isn't it ? but holy 90% ?
