Resolution war.

Go to solution Solved by Casperian,

It took some time to understand this graph but it is good.

Now

Why people say higher resolution will give something else.

This is all a myth and i found some posts like this too.

Oh and one potential benefit of higher resolutions is being able to turn AA down. So as I said 1440p 27" is a pretty nice "sweet spot", 4k 27" lets you turn AA down (You are removing aliasing which is caused by pixel approximation. With more pixels, the approximation is lessened anyway so if it becomes unnoticeable why lessen it more) but 4k is harder to run than 1440p + AA so its a relatively poor trade off.

The best part about 4K is the insane hardware you need to run it :)

If you're changing resolution in windowed mode it only changes the size of the window

I want you all to upload 3 pictures of any game at different resolution of 720p,900p and 1080p but in windowed mode so that I can make my decision in a monitor

1080p.

leave 720p and 900p for peasants.

Trust me 1080p, once you get to 1440p and 4k you might notice less

Ha, might as well lock this now, 1080p is the bottom standard for gaming and monitors in general now. The ratio size and amount of pixels is a great balance of windows scaling and looks in gaming. Hell, I might even recommend 1440p or 1080p144Hz.

OK I get it but what I am asking is to nudge a difference in between these resolution and if at windowed mode,I don't think except screen their will be a difference.

There is a quite a bit of a difference, the higher the resolution monitor, the typically lower the need for AA, and the more stuff you can fit on it at once.

Translation - Higher resolution = better.

I am not MAKING A DIFFERENCE

I only want to compare and see the changes because I got a tip that I should first see the difference MYSELF and make a move.

I am 14 and new to gaming so I want to compare

Resolution will not really show any difference by a picture. It will just compare how large a picture can get before it looks bad. But for you, I can show you a few pictures of KSP. Give me a few minutes.

What goes if someone uploads 3 pictures rather than typing

Well don't be rude about it:

This is what i want.

I don't think except screen size their was a difference as people say

You will get a massive difference at 1080p but their is nothing like that.

This is like putting an end to myths.

If Screens are at windowed mode their will be no difference and if you upscale even 1080p on 1440p,it will not look good

Great Except SCREEN size Their is no difference as people say BETTER AA BETTER GRAPHICS.

If you switch from 24 inch to 50 inch,it is sure to give more enjoyment and nothing.

720p is a quarter of a 1440p monitor. Personally, I can't play games like that. With the game leaving 3/4th of a monitor unused

It is good tht you shared your experience.

I am going to step in pc gaming thats why i wanted such test.

Now people will understand:DIFFERENCE OF RESOLUTION.

I think I get what you mean, the issue with monitor resolution is PPI or pixels per inch.

I have used 4k and 1440p monitors and I'll say this; 4k doesn't look that much better than 1440p however on a 27" 1080p monitor, I can see the pixels and that is less than ideal. On a 24" monitor, I find 1080p to be a solid option but bump the monitor up to 27" and 1080p has problems (PPI goes down to 82) but 1440p is good (109 PPI).

3 things to consider about a monitor;

Resolution

Screen size

Sitting distance

They all matter, if I sit 6' from a monitor; it might as well be a 27" 1080p, makes little difference. I sit 3' away, I should be 1440p 27" for a better experience.

EDIT
