Hi there.

 

I know how unpleasent such situation could be, so I would suggest to make a backup of the most important data you have stored on the device while you still have access to it and look for a replacement HDD, especially since there are constantly growing number of bad sectors on the drive.

 

However, if you don't manage to take everything from the drive you can contact some data recovery company in order to extract the information:

unlikely you got water in the hard drive, might be more of a controller issue than a hard drive issue - unless somehow you spilt water up into the PCB of the drive I guess which would be a hell of an effort
