Yes; up to 2 way SLI and 3 way XFire.

The fastest way to tell is looking at the board and seeing if it has the respective logos on it.

It would, yes. But I don't see much of a need to buy an aftermarket cooler for the G3258.

yes and no. it can be overclocked pretty well with the stock cooler, but my buddy pushed his to a staggaring (at least for a g3258) 4.8 Ghz when he replaced the stock cooler with a TX-4

Switch that G3258 and put an i3. Thank me later

If you wont upgrade, put a b85m mobo and get a TX3 evo.

That's sort of what I meant. You can push the G3258 some with the stock cooler, enough to waddle your way through to learn what you are doing. How to manage voltage, temps, and such.

After that I suggest looking at a cheap air cooler to replace the stock one. Suggesting air over AIO since they are generally a bit cheaper.

Is there a unlocked i3 then ?

There doesn't seem to be, but you'd get better performance with an i3 than an overclocked Pentium.

Also, you won't need to spend $60 on a CPU Cooler since you get a stock one with the CPU. Spend that money on a better CPU.

If you want to get a Pentium, then I assume you're on a budget. If so, go for an H97 motherboard instead of a Z97 motherboard. You loose SLI and overclocking capabilities. But you won't be overclocking with an i3 anyways and if you're going budget, you could go for an AMD card since H97 motherboard supports Crossfire.
