Or you could be smart and get the lowest price from anywhere and then price-match.. Ncix and memory express do this I believe

$20 over.. gives i5 and better quality ssd (the V300, you just don't know what parts are being used)

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/mfCNHx

These days, you really want an i3 or i5 at least... yes the pentium overclocks like a boss but multiple cores are getting more and more important.. Fair enough you don't play many games which takes advantage of it yet.. but how long do you want the build to last?

The pentium WILL start to bottleneck you.. I find it hard to believe H1Z1 doesn't use at least 2 cores... then what does the system use, got skype open? steam? music? web page?

Even without these, give it a year or 2 and you WILL be playing games that need more cores and then you'll have to upgrade again.

And if money for upgrades wasn't an issue, we wouldn't be trying to fit a whole build in what many are spending on a GPU.. The smart option here is the i5, it'll allow you to do more and allow the machine to last longer, thus getting you more value for your money.

its 80$ over? i enabled all websites.

As said above, get a z97 board if your going for a k series processor.. also can fit a psu that will easily power any SLI setup and the ssd.

That said the 4460 is a decent chip, your paying allot more to overclock (the chip, board and cooler you will need) for (in many games) a small advantage..

If your going to stick to a single card, I'd not bother with the k series CPU and get the other i5 now rather than having to buy twice.

All that said, I'm only sharing my opinion and experience in building, the choice is yours to make and if your set on going for an unlocked i5, this is what I would get..

$4 over:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($79.98 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($143.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory  ($54.88 @ Canada Computers)
Storage: OCZ ARC 100 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($75.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card  ($234.99 @ NCIX)
Case: BitFenix Neos Black ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.20 @ DirectCanada)
Total: $704.00

WTF you guys have lost your minds?

Why would he spend twice as much on a motherboard then on his cpu?

Look OP, maybe it's better to way a little more money (get a summerjob in the meantime) and then buy a brand new Skylake CPU/motherboard at the end of August when they get released.

And by far the best card to buy now for price/performance is a 390 8GB version (unless you are a enthousiast, where the 980TI wins over dual 970's or Fury X)

Open your eyes and break your chains. Console peasantry is just a state of mind.

MSI 980Ti + Acer XB270HU

Because we listened to what he's doing.. If you read the post I advised him to go for an i5 4460 but he wants to get a 4690k later.. hence the z97 motherboard.

The 390 is out of his price range..

I wish i could afford those.. i may go with your i5 idea. A lot more powerful. But id have to save up for it again because it is still out of budget. it needs to be under 700$ to work with my strict budget.
