Becoming better in dota 2,better than older players

bluefire908
Go to solution Solved by ZetZet,

Exactly.  For example, just because you make it to Global Elite in CSGO, or Challenger in League of Legends, doesn't mean you'll ever go pro.  Pro players have skill above just the ranking system.  There's a massive difference.

Skill wise there isn't a massive difference, as in player skill. Just general mentality and ability to work in a team is what brings pro players above. League of legends Solo Q players actually helped some pro's improve their mechanics and GE players in CSGO also shoot and move REALLY good, just they aren't that good at playing as a team.

Hey guys,i was playing some dota 2 today and noticed that all pro dota 2 player(dendi, puppey etc)have been playing dota 1 AND dota 2 for years,i have been playing dota 2 for 2 years(since it came out),so hw can some1 like me who has lesser experience become a pro dota 2 player??

What are you talking about. Dendi is a veteran. So is Puppey.

You need to study the game. And some people just straight up aren't going to be come pro's. Just like it is with any sport or competition.

They also probably play more than you altogether ( even if playing more is not actually what helps you improve)

Dude, you need to work on your grammar. This post is illegible.

Anyway, the only way to get better is to practice. Those guys got to be professional players at the game by playing all the time, 10+ hours per day. In fact, the fact that they had to switch from Dota to Dota 2 was almost a disadvantage, having to relearn some things. If you practice all of the time, you will certainly become a better player. There's no reason you can't be as good as them since you never played Dota 1.

Help me I'm surrounded by morons.

I'm not just talking about mechanical skill.  Also game sense, decision making, and awareness.  Some players just have it all on a higher level than the rest of us.
