Question about memory / RAM

Hey guys I wanted to get educated on whats the difference between these two types of RAM kits they seem the same to me. Is there an advantage of getting 32GB for gaming instead of the 16GB most people seem to use.

Most people use 8GB ram,

don't get more than 16, it becomes useless for gaming

and you're looking to spend half a grand on ram lol

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.

The heatspreader & price are the only difference I see.

8Gb for gaming is the sweet spot, 16Gb is plenty, and "futureproof" (god I hate that word)... 32Gb for gaming is overkill and NOT needed... maybe for content creation, but not gaming

So what If I wanted to multibox and stream would 16GB still be enough?

Oh God not overpriced corsair memory anything but that.

Dude I heard you like mhz, so I put 2666mhz on your ram, so you can game while you have.

8gb of 1600mhz is the most you need got games if you like them tabs you can get 16gb of 1600mhz, but don't get 32gb especially 2666mhz such a waste of money.

Didn't see the DDR4 get 2133mhz or 2400mhz if it's cheaper.

@Ryzone just get this man, it's so much cheaper than dominator platinums, and most likely has tighter timings than any of the platinum kits.

Well corsair is all I have used. I used to have HyperX way back in like 2004 with the Athlon xp processor. I don't upgrade a whole lot but when I do I'd like to get parts that will last a good while.

Ram is ram, if it has the same numbers on the spec sheet it will perform exactly the same. And it also like never fails because the only time it will be dead is if you got a Dimm that was dead on arrival.

Just buy whatever is cheapest per gigabyte at a good speed.

Just always stick with middle ground, too cheap and you'll get no performance per $ but too expensive and you wont be getting enough performance per $ either

With DDR3 there are some sketch brands, but the only DDR4 you can buy is all from very reputable manufactures so the cheapest per GB would be your best bet.
