XB270HU or wait for pg279q?

Rampiks

i plan on buying a 1440p 144hz monitor and i am in a trap, wait for pg279q or buy xb270hu now. what would you do? iirc the only difference with them is HDMI support on ASUS while the Acer has 3d vision while pg279q. and which QC is best (i have heard negative about both but has on of them improved?)

I'm holding out for the PG279Q or the curved ultrawide from Acer/Asus. When they're both released, I'll compare and contrast prices and reviews.

I tried an acer and the blacklight was intense out of the box.  I want to run 3 of them also so the bezel would be better from asus.  Like the rest I'm waiting but early August is my deadline to order.  I'm afraid I might have to pick between the 278 or the acer.

I hope they at least give us a release date which is close to that of the Acer x34, like end of August/Early Sept >.< Don't want to have to wait till the new year for all these new monitors  <_<

The PG279Q is Nvidia G sync

I think you're getting confused with the MG279Q maybe? That is the freesync one :)

I'm waiting. I can't abide the Acer... forget all the QC issues, just looking at it makes me want to vomit. Glossy piano black base and matching thick ugly glossy bezel that reflects whatever is on the display... revolting. Yeah it's a great panel (when it works), but they ruined it.

It's no rumour, it will. It's the only IPS 144Hz G-Sync panel in existence.

I was planning on waiting to get the PG279Q in August/ September, but I realized that I don't even need HDMI and I have my monitor directly in front of me, so 179 degree viewing angles aren't necessary either. I ended up just grabbing the PG278Q today. I may even get two more within the next year. :)
