That Fallout 4 Hype!

Are all of you excited as me for the new Fallout release? Did you pre-order the game? Maybe the Collectors Edition?

 

What do you all think of the new mechanics that they showed off? What are you not excited for?

 

I just want to know what all of you think of for this game. I personally pre-ordered the Collectors Edition and I can't wait until November.

I'm not that excited. Sure I'll play it but probably not when it releases.

 

And I recently finished The Witcher 3. After one of the best RPG-s ever made it's kind of hard to get excited for Bethesda game. Their recent games have been oceans with the depth of a paddling pool. Plus they have been rather buggy.

Yeah im excited, i love exploring bethesda games and im really interested in the new settlement building feature! Seems fun and interesting! Gonna pre-order it for pc and xbox one!

I'm beyond excited that Fallout 4 is a thing now, but...

 

I'm not pre-ordering, I don't like that there is a voiced protagonist now, and I really don't like that there isn't going a Creation Kit release for FO4 until early 2016. Oh and the UI looks rubbish.

 

Other than that, everything is looking great about the new game. Crafting, building, power armor, new world to explore, etc.

I don't much care for the voiced protagonist either, or the dialogue wheel for that matter. Eh, why don't you like the new UI? Other than one or two things about it, it looks fine... Bethesda even made it to where almost everything disappears when not in use.

The UI seems very basic, not fleshed out at all. If that UI is final then it's very dumbed down compared to FO3 and New Vegas, and those two games had a very simple UI to begin with. Personally I prefer something like Darnified's UI, where I can see a lot of things about my character at once.

 

Todd Howard stated that the Creation Kit for FO4 won't be coming out until 2016, same thing with Skyrim. There will still be mods for FO4 at release, but nothing huge.

I understand, I use DarNified UI myself, but only so that the UI is small. I personally don't like to see the UI ALL the time and generally prefer to not see it at all.

 

EDIT: DarNifed UI only changed the size and font of the original UI. It is other mods that allow you to change what appears on screen. Such as: iHUD, Unified HUD, and One HUD.

 

I don't see how the Creation kit thing is that big of a problem. 2016 is only a month and a half after it releases. Just enough time to have a couple of characters explore the vanilla Boston Wastes in it's original glory. And I know they won't release it immediately as it hits 2016, but you know what I mean.
