I wanted to know when steam gets better servers and fixed in general! When there is a big sale sometimes steam - even when i am just downloading or not doing anything - just says ''Steam client bootstraper doesnt react'' and it crashes and thats all the time, and games like Sniper elite III will just freeze while playing, when i set steam on offline this isnt the case, but I cant set it on offline cuz i am downloading a game. do you guys. So what do you guys think? Origin for example never has such problems, it always works flawlessly

I'm just guessing

Do you mean, you want to download while playing games?

because by default steam will pause downloads while playing games

you have to set it on setting to be able continue download while playing games (which isn't recommended if you playing multiplayer games)

its never someones pc, we are all using windows idiot, steam needs barely any resources, i just wanted to know if they are gona fix it. Origin works fine

Wow, no need to get mad at people that try to identify the problem dude... And since nobody else here seems to have this problem it really is your PC or steam installation. Maybe try reinstalling steam.

I've been playing and buying games all throughout the sale. Steam has NEVER gone down this entire time and I've never had issues. This is the first sale where their servers didn't crap out.

Sorry, but whatever issue you're having is on your side.

I lolled at that :D You clearly haven't been active in old days when EA was notorious about day-1 server stability. EA and GameSpy. They've improved since. Much, because they have to gain users from Steam someway. Where Steam/Valve fails, EA/Origin will shine.

Anyway, I haven't seen any problems with Steam in any of big sales. Only bug I have seen is the clicker game freezing if you spam too much. I don't also understand how stressing servers would affect playing games? They don't use same servers for mp and database. Only thing would be active cdkey checking on startup. So if thats what you mean, then they don't do anything. It will work again Monday.
