I've been getting an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error, causing any Java programs to crash, basically when they start up. This includes Minecraft, Eclipse, and several others.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo e6700 @ 2.66GHz
Motherboard: Intel Desktop Board d945gcl
GPU: Intel Express Chipset Family 82945G (Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950)
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1
Java Version: 1.7.0_79 64-bit
RAM: 1GB DDR2 (I forget the clockspeed, but there are 2 Samsung DIMMs in there. I'm planning on replacing them and getting 4GB. I only have 2 slots)

But this is an annoyance. I cannot use Java whatsoever, and I've tried this on multiple operating systems across different setups. I just can't seem to figure out what is wrong with this PC and Java. I can't even install IntelliJ because there it keeps saying that the installer is damaged, which it is not. This PC is perfectly fine, even if the hardware is old. It runs blazingly fast (IMO) but it's just something wrong with Java on this PC that I can't figure out. I'd love for someone to help me.

(BTW, I plan on getting a low-end graphics card very soon to replace the integrated graphics. I never play Minecraft on here mostly because of that. The CPU is fine though.)

Here is my error log when I tried to start the Minecraft launcher: http://pastebin.com/QM1PVTzp

I know that the PC has slightly old hardware (2006-based), but I still think that I can make use of this old thing. It still has 2 7200rpm hard drives (Seagate 160-gig and WD 120-gig). It was a pre-built Emachines computer (lol), but I'm upgrading a lot of it. I already switched out the power supply before you say anything of the sorts, haha.

i don't think you shuould be upgradeing from this.. buying a new pc would be easier

That is so true on so many levels, but I don't have the $$ right now. I mean, at least the CPU wasn't half bad for its time...and it is still pretty fast, even when it isn't overclocked.

I originally had it on, and I just turned it off completely. Still no change.

It could be the RAM. One DIMM came with the computer...so it's about 8 years old. I'll try memtest in a bit.
