AC Unity is a complete disaster

I've spent about 3 hours playing and I already don't like it. First of all, what's with all the crowds? I feel like Ubisoft is just trying to show off by putting in a gazillion NPCs into the environment but it makes navigating the world a complete disaster and you need to push and shove your way just to travel. Then you can't go anywhere without being attacked by the red shirts. I can't count the number of times that I had to redo a vantage point or a commute because I got 1-hit killed (shot or stabbed) by some random redshirts (there are some on every corner) that I can't bother to stop and fight and the crowds make escaping an absolute chore. Additionally I randomly attack the blue shirts when I mean to kill the criminals, and the overall story of the game is just pretty bleh. 

 

the controls are clunky, I smash the space bar and the up keys yet Arno just stays there like a sitting duck to be shot at, the combat is a downgrade from Black Flag, which I actually had fun playing before my save file got wiped because of Ubisoft's poor cloud save system. 

 

Any one here also disappointed by AC Unity? The world is absolutely stunning but it was just really poorly executed. I hope Ubisoft learned their lesson and make Syndicate a much better game.

I've been disappointed by the AC games after II, so naturally Unity would displease me too. Sounds like it is more of a hassle to play it than getting it optimized to play.
