So I was playing skyrim and noticed that my gpu is never really using more than like 65% on skyrim, but my cpu is not a bottleneck either. I have a i5 4690k at stock and the usage on that hardly ever goes above 50%. My settings are on the absolute highest of everything on 1080p. Can someone explain why this is happening, or is this normal?

Skyrim is really not that demanding.

How much fps do you get? If it's a stable 60fps, do you have vsync turned on? If so, turn vsync off.

Well do you get satisfactory frame rates?

If so, you don't have enough mods.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Has the game never crashed seemingly without reason? Not enough mods.

Vsync is always off since I have gsync, but the framerates are like anywhere from 60- 140 fps and the drops are instant and stuttery and it is quite annoying to say the least since my gpu usage being at 99% could probably change that.

technically satisfactory but annoying, and I really haven't downloaded any mods because of the fact that the normal game dips down to 60 fps anyway.....

Mang I got like 260 mods running stable.

I rarely crash.

And when I do, it's seemingly for no reason!

I am not sure if Skyrim likes an OC'ed CPU more than a stock one..

But that probably is annoying..

I really don't know what the problem could be '-'

Is your monitor 144Hz?

I have 161 (pretty much no graphics mods) and today my game crashed on start up, but it was because some mod missed some other hair mods :P
