Wierd temperature readings

Go to solution Solved by VictorJ94,

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html

This article is about false readings on newer amd cpus.

So im just going to mark this thread as solved, since this must be my case.

Thermal Margin is how how many degees you have left before you cpu overheats.

You can use HWMonitor Free Version to get your temps Pro they are locked

I used Gigabytes EasyTune6 with my boards for temp readings and fan controls. Some people don't like it but I thought it was very easy and used it without issues. Read same temps as HWMonitor did for my systems.

Also are you using stock cooler or something else?

and that's what I get for skimming

Thank you.

I also seen him have coretemp which is what a lot of people use as well.

I take it your concerns OP is the temps you are seeing in HWMonitor, he 89c and 53c?

I don't use speedfan and didn't care for it when I was testing it out so I don't know if it's accurate or not for temp readings.

Well... From what i have been able to figure out.. im just going to asume that AMD Overdrive displays the correct temperatures.

I mean, the computer is brand new, I only have a minor overclock + i am using a massive cooler, i have now made sure that the cooler is installed properly + i have not touched the voltages.

I'd still like to know why HWM is showing high temps like that though... but its just no way that AMD would set a thermal margin of 120C....

Or am i just stupid/completely out of my mind?....
