500W Powersupply good enough for this card or should I get a 600

500W will be fine. 

Already have set up built just got to plop in a graphics card and maybe an internal capture card in.

 

Either a asus gtx 970 or a 960

 

 

Set up right now

 

Intel Core i5 4690K
8 gb ram

1 HDD

1 Optical Drive

Are you planning on O/Cing? If so, then I would up your psu to something better. Even plain, I'd still go better with the psu, minimum gold like a XFX 550W or an EVGA 650W GS. Both will serve you well and won't break the bank.
