Well, I'm with you there. I want my consciousness transferred to the computer, which is why I said downloaded rather than copied, although I guess the term downloaded is a bit ambiguous in that regard.

It really reminds me of the teleporter paradox, when the data will be sent to the destination and you would be constructed instantly, but your body on the other end would be destroyed in the process. That would basically mean you'd die. BUT, I would argue that we do not really know or understand what life really is, therefore we cannot really understand death... What if we are in fact not alive in the first place, so we cannot really "die"? There is a really good youtube vid that explains it really well
