Just Another Parvum S2.0 Watercooled Build

BunnyBandit

Welcome to 'Just Another Parvum S2.0 Watercooled Build'

Aim: The aim of this build is to create a silent water cooled 'daily driver' capable of handling; chrome, microsoft office and the odd mine sweeper game.

Background: This is my first time watercooling so please forgive me for any rookie mistakes. Most of the parts are reused from previous builds. The i5 4690 was from an itx build, I am waiting for Skylake to drop then hopefully pick up a 4790K for a lower price. I plan on upgrading to a G1 980ti with water block but since I'm currently broke that probably won't be happening soon...

Progress Update 1

Just finished exams and picked up some parts including the case from a friend. Stopped by the hardware store to pick up some Satin White spray paint and masking tape. Also got a kebab on the way home as a bonus.

Assembled case while roughly cutting sound dampening foam, using the panels as template.

Applied sound dampening foam to the top, bottom and back of mobo tray. Also fitted the PSU and placed pump in to see how tight the tubing would be.

Went on vessel to get my daily fix of Linus. Realised that I will need to additionally order quite a few angled extenders to extend the compression fittings through the two holes as the angles are too tight to bend tubing.

That will be it for now and possibly today. Provided it stops raining I will be painting the Gryphon Armour and the two Rads tomorrow.

Thanks. The text is large because I don't use scaling on windows so this is my way of compensating ;). I don't know what it looks like on lower res or with scaling, should I change it back to default?

Progress Update 2

Woke up to the postman at 12, great start to the winter break. The package contained memory with cooling components along with the reservoir.

post-201456-0-88765500-1434716762_thumb.

Quickly painted the two radiators and the Gryphon armour and reassembled them

The memory came in a fancy box

Process of applying the EK memory heatsinks. I reused one of the thick thermal pads (white) from the default heatsinks, this is because the ones EK provided weren't thick enough as the memory chips were only on one side of the pcb.

Mocked up a metal bracket to house the reservoir using a scrap piece of metal.

Fitted the main components into the parvum case and started assembling the loop. Found out I need to purchase even more angled extenders to complete the CPU block to memory block 'tubing'. Going to have to wait until monday for the fittings and extensions to arrive

This is going to be it for now until I get more parts arriving

Progress Update 3

Finally had time to put the cpu to ram fittings in.

post-201456-0-82564800-1435322541_thumb.

Filled loop with distilled water for a leak test

post-201456-0-96279100-1435322514_thumb.

Added an angled fitting to the bottom of res and led strips on both sides of the case. Also decided to not use the res stand I made and just let it hang there.

Next update would probably be when I get enough money for a 980ti and waterblock. Currently looking at the G1 980ti. I will most probably add sleeved cables into the build as well. Also can't wait till the Noctua A series drops in black so I can grab some white corners to go with.
