Buying laptop $500-600

My uncle need to buy a new laptop. Mostly for movies,music,skyping,...the basic stuff. I know NOTHING about laptop. 
He wants a Dell, *for reasons I guess*.  He want to spend around 600usd. The closest store around us are Bestbuy,Microcenter. Online stores are fine too! 

He want something that is quiet and doesn't over heat easily when he's watching his movies/listening to music ect.

Lenovo G505s. It was my first laptop, and its still pretty good. 6gb ram and an A10-5750m APU for only $450.

 

Edit: never mind, he wanted a Dell. I don't know any good Dell laptops. dell laptops are crap imo but whatever

Meh, I do that too :P

 

I'd go with something like an Inspiron 7000 series. Not sure how much noise they make though, but they are quite thick
