I am going to be ordering my parts for my gaming pc tomorrow. I am going with a black/red theme and trying to be as silent as possible. I just want to make sure everything is compatible and no issues are going to arise like memory clearance etc. I still got time to make changed but has to be under $1800. Also any tips/advice would be very appreciative. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/399KVn

Swap that Asus motherboard for an EVGA z97 FTW, its amazing i just got it, dump the extra cash into a 144hz monitor.

Also the cooler master quickfire tk is a cheaper keyboard which is just as good.

Otherwise nice build

I would guess the OP would prefer if it came as close to his budget limit as possible. Maybe a better card? (Two cheaper cards in SLI might be interesting)

I'd strongly suggest getting a 980 Ti in the budget as it can fit and even more strongly suggest

WAITING FOR the 300 series by AMD in two days.

Anyways, for $20 more You could fit a GTX 980 Ti inside a very very comparable rig.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4Lh9ZL

Even has a perfectly(of 5 reviews) 5 egg IPS display by Viewsonic that's actually cheaper.

I think I beat all the builds above me

1440p ips though, and really you can't talk, thinking dual 960's will let you get 144hz, awe hell no.

Overkill.  That is why.

Or get surround eventually.  Unfortunately, it's already over budget and I'd love to get a 144Hz monitor in...  speaking of which.  Lets try that.

I'm not sure what you are doing, but it's up past 1850 now.

Does it happen to mine?  I'm curious

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JLvRXL

Anyways, 980 Ti actually within the budget if 1791 is the price given...

Challenge accepted.

Challenge failure.  I refuse to submit to a GTX 980 and 144hz!  60 hz 200 FPS ALL THE WAY!

(really, if the OP chooses this build, do yourself a favor and get 3-way surround, 5 way portrait surround, or 144hz monitors, or 4K.)

I tried getting a good 1080p 60hz surround on a 980ti and I did it, but had to cut down so much stuff.
