I have just recently bought a 780 Ti and I have been through 4 drivers, all of them have problems:

  • 353.12 (which was apparently meant to fix some of the issues with 353.06)
  • 353.06 (reported to have problems with 780Ti, 970, 980, 980 Ti)
  • 352.86 (was meant to be the stable version before the 353.06)
  • 350.12 (Should be the most stable from the 4)

My games keep crashing/ stops responding like Project Cars, i can play for around 20 mins with the 350.12, with the other 3 I am lucky to get 5 minutes. Sleeping dogs i got 1 hr 30 mins, Crysis 3 30 mins. I have done stress tests to see whether the GPU is stable using unigine valley and heaven, both I ran for an hour as well as 3 runs of 3D mark Vantage at 1920x1200 on its highest preset.

Using Windows event viewer, it shows that I have had 176 number of events where the driver error had occured.

I installed a fresh copy of windows with all motherboard drivers installed yesterday.

Any ideas?

Not all windows updates are installed, I tried both win 7 and 8.1, I am currently using 7 but it seems the change in OS didn't make a difference, which it shouldn't. I'll install the drivers before the GTA 5 drivers and do some more testing.

all your windows updates should be installed for the GPU drivers to work correctly...
