Fresh Windows Install

Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

Windows 8.1 pro on one of my PCs is completely cluttered and crap, I want to do a fresh install, I have all my data backed up so if I plug in the bootable USB and over-write the current OS on my SSD will it automatically deactivate the old OS and activate the fresh install? :D

That is correct. Basically the moment when you'll activate your license, it will deactivate the previous one. Windows takes care of everything. Nothing to worry about.

It's gonna wipe out everything and install a Deactivated copy of windows, meaning you would need to buy a license.

I have an activated copy, if I wipe the SDD with the activated copy and do a fresh install can I use the same serial number as the previous version
